How GradeOrSell decides

- Works on everything — iPhone users: get the GradeOrSell app on the App Store. Android & computer users: use this site — on Android, open it in Chrome and tap Add to Home Screen and it works just like an app. Same account, same collection, everywhere.
- Live comps — every search pulls a live eBay price signal for the raw card. For Pokémon, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh!, video games and comics we add PriceCharting's PSA 10 / 9 / 8 ladder on top. PriceCharting has no sports-card catalogue, so baseball, basketball, football and hockey return the eBay figure only — any PSA numbers shown for them are engine estimates from the raw price, and the app labels them that way.
- Photo identification & grading — snap the front and back; the card is identified (year, set, card #, parallel, serial, autograph, RC) and its raw condition is assessed from centering, corners, edges and surface.
- Grade odds — your condition estimate becomes a probability spread across PSA 10 / 9 / 8 / ≤7.
- The call — Net raw = raw × (1 − fee%) − ship. Expected graded net = Σ P(grade) × net(graded comp). Grade EV = expected graded net − grading cost. Positive EV → Grade & sell; negative → Sell raw; rising market → Hold; near-worthless → Bulk.
- Break-even PSA 10 price — the exact PSA 10 sale price where grading stops paying. If the market holds above it, grade.
- ◆ Grail rule — anything worth $100+ raw is flagged for human review before it's listed or shipped to a grader. No exceptions.
- Collection Triage — bulk-score a whole collection (CSV in / CSV out), sort by best net, filter to grails only. Sign in to sync across devices.
